Valle Lindo School District has deep roots and lasting traditions that have formed a strong foundation for educational excellence. Since 1863, Valle Lindo School District has maintained an unwavering commitment to educating students equipped with the skills required to become inclusive and empathic leaders in a world that is rapidly changing. By providing students with an education where tradition and innovation are intertwined, Valle Lindo School District recognizes the importance of celebrating each success, while still remaining focused on learning, adapting and creating the very brightest future.
Every individual in our learning community is valued and an integral part of our school district. With small class sizes and state of the art classrooms, our teachers and staff are able to partner with families to support every child. New Temple Elementary and Shively Middle School have earned Title I Academic Achievement Awards, and have been recognized as California Distinguished Schools and California Gold Ribbon Schools. Valle Lindo School District is also one of only six districts nationwide to receive the Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase District award.
Students benefit from student-centered instruction in all core content areas as well as enrichment experiences provided to all students. Valle Lindo School District recognizes that students learn best when they feel a sense of belonging. We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion as our district continues to proactively engage with our community to learn and grow. Through technology integration, innovative instruction, a rigorous curriculum and strong social-emotional support, our students continue to not only achieve academic and personal success, but also transform every challenge into a once in a lifetime opportunity.
