A Message from the Superintendent
Happy Holidays
December 16, 2021

Dear Valle Lindo Community,

As 2021 comes to an end and we prepare to welcome in the new year, I’d like to take a moment to recognize the hard work and resilience you have shown this past year. Whether you are a staff member, a student, a parent, a guardian, a relative, or a community partner, I want you to know that you played a vital role in supporting and strengthening our learning community. I am truly grateful for you, and for your countless contributions that enabled our district to thrive.

This time of year also lends itself to reflection and heightened emotions, perhaps even more so since the onset of the pandemic. So this holiday season, whether you find yourself filled with joy or simply longing for it to be over, please know that you are not alone. To our families that are grieving the loss of loved ones, we see you. To those who are reuniting in celebration with family at long last, we see you too. The pains and the joys of life touch everyone, and please know that we are here to support and uplift you. My hope for the coming year is that our learning community grows as a space of love and belonging for all of us.

On behalf of the Valle Lindo School District and the Board of Education, it is my privilege to share with you our 2021 Winter Program starring the students of New Temple Elementary School and Shively Middle School. We are thankful to all of our Tigers and Saints for sharing their extraordinary talents with us.

Wishing you a season filled with peace and joy,

Elizabeth Evans, Ed.D.
